The front face of the silver Vienna Philharmonic coin features a representation of the Great pipe organ in the Golden Hall of Vienna Concert Hall with the words “Republik Oesterreich” encircled above the imagery.

The reverse of the  silver Philharmonic is ornately designed with a selection of the musical instruments of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, including four violins, a cello, a harp, and a Viennese horn. The designs on the coin remain constant from year to year.
